Image Guidelines

Angles and lighting are everything when selecting a good photo for your custom pet portrait. This is because we rely on tracing over the photo to get the best result.

We recommend the following guidelines:

  • sitting or standing and looking towards the camera (or in the same pose you want in the portrait)
  • both face and neck visible
  • Photo taken at eye level
  • good lighting without filters

  • After checkout you'll receive an email where you can upload your photo/s and we can help advise which ones will work best.

    Image FAQ

For portraits of multiple pets, do they all have to be together in the photo?

No - you can use separate photos as we do the portraits individually and bring them together for the final result.

Can you include or remove accessories like a collar or harness?

Sure! Just let us know if you would like us to try and remove or include an accessory from the photo and we will do our best to accomodate. This could be a hat, collar, harness, lead etc.

My photo doesn't meet all of the conditions - can I still get a portrait?

We understand it can sometimes be difficult to get a good photo, particularly when ordering as a gift or for pets who are sadly no longer with us.

We can normally still work with almost any photo, and if we have any concerns we’ll let you know once we receive your photo. We also offer a 100% Money Back Guarantee, meaning that if the preview doesn’t turn out well, even if it’s because of the quality of the photo, you can still always get a full refund.
